Terms

The agreement between you and Allotrope. Written to be read.

Version 8 October 2026 (draft). See also the Privacy Policy.

Who we are

Allotrope is run by Tommy Sakoua. "We" and "us" mean them. "You" means the person who creates an account, and the business you run with it.

What Allotrope is

Allotrope is a business dashboard, for a business of any size. It includes bookings, enquiries, customers, quotes and invoices, money and expenses, and keeps the records behind them in one place. A website builder is an optional add-on.

Using Allotrope means you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

Your account

  • You must be legally able to run a business, and to agree to these terms, in the place where you live. Some places set a minimum age for that, or need a parent or guardian to agree for you. Following those rules is your responsibility.
  • Your password and your email address are your own. Keep the password to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with your account. We cannot read your password and will never ask you for it.
  • Give us an email address you can read: we use it for sign-in, receipts and notices about your business.

The free preview, and paying

A new business is a free preview. You can set it up, look around every section with example data, and build and preview a website. Nothing is recorded or connected until you choose a plan. There is no free trial with a clock on it, and no card is needed for the preview.

  • Prices are on the pricing page. A plan is paid monthly: it is charged when you choose it and then each month in advance, until you cancel. Payment is taken through Stripe today.
  • The price of a plan covers normal use, and normal use is never charged more.
  • How much a business stores is the one thing that can change what it pays. If a business needs more storage than its plan includes, we show you the new monthly price and ask whether you accept it. Nothing extra is charged unless you accept on screen first. If you do not accept, your plan and its price stay as they are.
  • If we change the price of something you already have, we tell you before it applies to you. A change never applies to time you have already paid for, and you can cancel instead.
  • The website is a one-off payment per business. Hosting and extra storage are monthly and need a dashboard plan.
  • Prices may have tax added where the law requires it. Checkout shows the total before you pay.
  • You are responsible for following the tax laws that apply to your own business, including any tax on what you sell.

Cancelling and refunds

  • You can cancel any monthly item at any time from the billing page. It keeps working until the end of the time you have paid for.
  • We do not refund part of a month you have already paid for, unless the law where you live gives you that right.
  • Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you that cannot be taken away by a contract, such as consumer guarantees.

If a payment is missed

We email you and keep everything working for 7 days. After that the item is paused: a paused dashboard plan locks the dashboard and takes the website offline; paused hosting takes only the website offline. Nothing is deleted. Paying restores everything.

Your data is yours

  • Everything you put into Allotrope belongs to you. You can download all of it as spreadsheet files at any time, including when a business is paused.
  • You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you.
  • We back the database up every day and keep each backup for 30 days. If we ever had to go back to a backup, changes made since it was taken (up to a day) could be lost. Backups are a safety net, not a promise that nothing can ever be lost: keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Your customers

You decide what you collect about your customers and why. You are responsible for telling them, for having a lawful reason to hold it, and for answering their requests about it. Allotrope gives you the tools: you can correct a customer, export their records, and erase them.

Allotrope is a business dashboard that includes bookings and enquiries. It is not set up for clinical, legal or other specially protected records yet. Until it is, do not use it to store detailed health information, card numbers or government identity numbers.

Taking payments from your customers

Today, card payments from your customers go through Stripe: you connect your own Stripe account and the money goes straight to it. We take no cut of it. Other payment providers will be added over time, and the same will be true of each: the money goes to your own account with that provider, and that provider's own terms and fees apply between you and them.

Each payment provider has its own rules about who can hold an account with it, including rules about age. Those are between you and that provider.

Money you take another way, such as cash, a bank transfer or a card machine, can be recorded by hand. A sale is between you and your customer: we are not a party to it and do not handle refunds or disputes for you.

Your website

  • What you publish is yours and is your responsibility, including having the right to use every image, font and piece of text.
  • You must not publish anything unlawful, misleading or harmful, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
  • If you buy the website you can download a copy and host it anywhere.

What you must not do

  • Break the law, or help someone else to.
  • Send spam, or email people who have not asked to hear from your business.
  • Try to get into another business's data, or interfere with the service.
  • Copy Allotrope's software or design, take it apart, or try to get at its code.
  • Resell Allotrope, or use it to build a competing service.

Allotrope belongs to us

The Allotrope software, its design, its name and its logo belong to Tommy Sakoua. Paying for a plan lets you use Allotrope. It does not give you a copy of it or any rights in it. What you put into Allotrope stays yours, and a website you have bought is yours to take away, as the sections above say. Nothing here removes a right the law gives you that a contract cannot take away.

Figures are a guide, not advice

The tax and profit figures in Money are rough estimates to help you set money aside. The names and rates of taxes are starting points taken from each country's own published pages; you can change them. None of it is tax, accounting or legal advice. Check with an accountant or your tax office before you lodge or pay anything.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Allotrope running and safe, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you are paying for, we will tell you first and you can cancel.

Our responsibility to you

We provide Allotrope with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss of profit, loss of business, or loss you could have avoided by keeping your own copy of your data, and our total responsibility to you in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months. Nothing here limits responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited.

Closing an account

You can delete a business from the Businesses page, or your whole account from the Account page, at any time. Deleting is permanent once the last backup that holds it has expired (about 30 days). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why unless the law stops us.

If these terms change

When we change these terms we change the version and date at the top, and ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in. If you do not accept, you can export your data and close your account.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia. If the law where you live gives you rights that a contract cannot take away, you keep them.
